It's hard for me.. I have roughly 350 caps posted here... At least 50 I REALLY like a lot, and I enjoy all of them.. trying to winow it down to just one feel's like Sophie's Choice....
Not to be a jerk, but is a caption with 5 panels still just "a" caption..? If it is, then "Ron's Summer Dream", hand's down. Not only is it my personal favorite, but it as the most fully fleshed-out story, the best overall writing, and I think does an excellent job of having you feel like that story goes with those particular pics...
Some of my more recent caps are more slick and (hopefully) professional-looking, "Are You Ready", and "Prom Protest" spring to mind, but for the complete combo-pack of writing/story, pic and overall impact, I don't think they are "better", just better done, if that makes any sense...
For single panel one-shots.. these are my top 3, at the moment :)
3rd Place
A typical sweet/sentimental Ron/Steffi cap. Visually, it's NOT impressive.. Really poor choices for scheme and layout... but the actual story/writing and the pic work so well together (to me), that I'd like to think this is a cap that is greater than the sum of it's parts :)
2nd Place:
This is a long-time fave of mine.. In this source pic, Hayden is wonderfully and perfectly feminine... without being over-the-top "sissy", or porn star curvy... The story is simple and poignant.. and the pic works very well with the back/white color scheme, with no fancy effects.

Most strangely.. a "magic" caption :) This was a trading caption for Miss Simone. I think the story is well told, matches the pics very well, and stands really well as a single caption. I think the presentation is nice... easy to read and follow... visually interesting. If I had to pick one that was the best overall cap that I can do, this would likely be it:)
